Hi, I'm Maddie. I'm a first-time parent living and working in the South of England. For the past 12 years, I've been immersed in the world of Human Resources, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to my career. Now I am learning to balance my career with raising a family with my fiancé Alex.

Reviewing guidance and legislation in the UK I will provide practical and lighthearted analysis for working parents.  Don't worry there wont be any parenting advice just a simpler look at what is out there to support you and championing for change where it's needed.  Though I may include the odd quick dinner recipe for those weaning babies and picky toddlers!

Discovering I was pregnant didn't raise many concerns about managing work and maternity leave for me, but I recognise that's not the case for everyone. Drawing from my experience in HR, I'm eager to support more working parents. Whether it's navigating leave policies or advocating for flexible arrangements, I'm here to simplify being a worker parent and hopefully make it a bit better.
